Activities  of the current rotary year gained momentum with the installation of the president and  office bearers and inauguration of the Rotary Community Centre on 15-7-2000.Princess Gouri Parvathi BayiAs our chief guest added colour and charm to the august function.Club ServiceThe inaugural function was attended by Rotarians from Quilon, Quilon West, Chavara,. Karunagappally, Kayamkulam, Harippad, Alappuzha East,Chenganoor, Pandalam, ThiruvallaEast,Thiruvalla Cherthalla Members of our club attended the installation ceremonies of Karunagappally, Kayamkulam, Harippad, Pandalam, Cherthalai Town and Chengannoor, the district seminar on Rotary Foundation at Changanacherry, and the district conference at t Kollam,

Attendance--. An ardent effort was made by the formation of six groups each under a chairman who was entrusted with the responsibility of improving the attendance, of fellow rotarians of his group.

Rotary information--Rotary information talks were conducted on all weekly meeting days by the president and senior Rotarians like Rtn PP PHF Roy George, Rtn Jacob Varghese, Rtn PP Dr Satiish chandran and Rtn Dr M S Abraham.On all monthly dinner meetings we had guest speakers. Rtn PP PHF Tomy Eapen, VeteranMridangom Artist Sri Mavelikara Sankaran Kutty Nair, noted film director and national award winner on film literature Sri Madhu Eravankara Rtn  Murali dharanof Quilon West, Sri M Murali MLA, and Assistant GovernorAdv ,Rtn PP Azad Babu were our guest speakers.Bulletins --Bullettins were released on all weekly meetings and special issues were published  on monthly dinner days.

Membership--Last year our membership was 32. At the beginning of the year 4 of them had already left and our membership stood at 28.. But by August we could induct 3 new members. And today we are inducting one more member.

Onam was celebrated in the traditional manner. There were sports and games and other competitions organized for Rotarians, R’anns and Annets. . Xmas was also celebrated with joy and peace.A family picnic was arranged to Water theme Park at Chalakkudy and also Athirappally,Another cruise in a house boat in Vembanadu lake was also enjoyed by all.
