A geriatric clinic was also inaugurated on that day by our then municipal chairman Sri Kesavan. This clinic is regularly conducted on all Saturday afternoons and we are able to examine and treat around 30 to 40 patients every week, We are providing free medicines worth around 2000 rupees every week. Our club adopted two very poor mentally retarded children of Jyothis School by donating Rs 8000/, thanks to the liberal contributions made by Rtns K M Mathew and PP M B Philipose. We invited the students of Jyothis a school for the mentally retarded to our club on 25th November. Various sports and games and variety entertainments for those children were arranged and prizes and food packets wre distributed to them. An iron cot worth Rs 3000/ was donated to the Govt Ayurveda Hospital at Mavelikara, We have donated an amount of Rs 5000/ towards the Earth Quake relief Fund of our Governor. Our club could donate Rs 4000/for the treatment of two poor patients who were suffering from renal failure and heart disease.

President and members of our club attended a workshop on WCS organized by Rotary Club of Aleppey East.We have submitted three projects under WCS, two projects on water supply and sanitation  one at CMS LPS Kallumala, another at Govt UPS Anjilipra. We received enquiries from theKittery Rotary Club in US about CMS School project and we promptly replied but so far nothing has materialized, THE sunrise Rotary Club Of Ohaio ,US had been generous enough to take up the Anjilipra School project as Matching grant along with District 6690, the Rotary Foundationand our club , This matching grant has already been cleared and we hope to complete the work as early as possible.Yet another project under women empowerment and girl child education is under consideration of RIFPD
