" Pulse polio rally " Organised by Rotarians and members of the Innerwheel Club

Our charter president Rtn PP Rony T Daniel, already a PHSM is registering to become a PHF by donating the balance amount of  Rs 15500/ and our club has donated Rs.4,600/- to TRF.We have communicated through E mail with the Rotary clubs of Ontario, Canada, Valley Centre, Canada Angelo Murphy club of California,Calibo Philippines, Punta Chicca of Argentina, Windsor St Claire of Canada, All women Rotary Club Of own town Davao, of Philippines, and the Rotary club of Southampton.Rotarians from these clubs have sent their greetings to us on this Silver Jubilee Celebration.  on pulse polio at Marthandom A revenue district level meettingwas organized by our club at Rotary Community Centre Mavelikara on 22nd October.

Rotary District Polio Committee Chairman Rtn Dr  K Vijayakumar ,Disrict Medical Officer Of Health   ,Alappuzha, Dr Raghavan,Medical officers of PHCs and Presidents, Secretaries and Polio Committee Chairmen of all the clubs in Alappuzha District participated in the workshop. A pulse Polio rally was organized by our club on 8th December. Rotarians, members of Inner Wheel Club, teachers and students of various schools participated in the rally. On 10th December and also on 21st January our Rotarians actively took part in the NIDs by providing vehicles and supplying food packets to volunteers in all the booths under Govt Hospital Mavelikara, and PHCs at Thazhakara, Kurathikadu and Chettikulangara .The Inner Wheel Club of Mavelikara rendered valuable service by preparing food packets.

We are glad to inform that we have receeived  an Appreciation Award from the National Pulse Polio Committie for our activities under our Pulse Polio Program

WCS project

A matching grant of US$ 6,400/- had been granted from TRR .The project has been completed by building a toilet block and provide water supply facilities at Govt. U.P school, Anjilipra . The project is supported by the SunRise rotary club of OHAIO of USA and  district 6690.
